Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near North Brunswick
At our North Brunswick, New Jersey location, Oak Crest offers a dynamic Teen Travel Program tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Our program combines on-site activities with exciting day and overnight trips. 7th graders participate in camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders attend camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In addition, teens have the option to choose from 2- or 3-day overnight trips to enhance their summer experience.
At our North Brunswick, New Jersey location, Camp Oak Crest provides a structured group schedule for teenagers. Campers follow this schedule, moving in groups of 10-15 under the guidance of rigorously vetted counselors. The daily schedule comprises two sessions of free swim, a variety of activities such as the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a diverse range of athletic and creative pursuits, and two designated Choice periods. These Choice periods offer teens the freedom to select their preferred activities, encouraging exploration of a broad spectrum of options by enabling them to choose a new activity during each Choice period.
At our North Brunswick, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is paramount, and we enforce the Oak Crest Travel Protocols diligently when they venture beyond our camp premises. Every Teen Travel camper and their parents must endorse our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions at our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by a designated adult Division Head. These experienced individuals are responsible for managing their respective divisions within the camp and accompanying the teens on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff members receive specialized training to ensure effective supervision of campers in public spaces and the adept handling of the unique challenges associated with early adolescence.
