Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Piscataway
At Oak Crest in Piscataway, New Jersey, our Teen Travel Program is tailored for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. This program offers a blend of on-site activities and the opportunity to embark on both day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders engage in camp activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. Conversely, 8th and 9th graders follow a schedule with camp attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while their travel days occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, Teens have the choice of 2- or 3-day overnight excursions.
Located in Piscataway, New Jersey, our Teen Camp follows a well-structured group schedule. Campers are organized into groups of 10-15 individuals, closely supervised by meticulously screened counselors. The daily schedule encompasses two free swim sessions, engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, as well as two designated Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens enjoy the freedom to select their preferred activities, fostering exploration across a wide spectrum of options with the opportunity to choose something new during each Choice period.
In our Piscataway, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is of paramount importance, especially when they venture outside the camp premises. We have stringent safety protocols in place known as the Oak Crest Travel Protocols, which all our Teen Travel campers and their parents are required to adhere to by signing our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Just like other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are meticulously supervised. Each division is overseen by an adult Division Head who takes charge of the group both on-site and during day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff members undergo specialized training to proficiently supervise campers in public spaces and effectively address the unique challenges that come with early adolescence.
