Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Princeton Junction
At Oak Crest, our Teen Travel Program is tailored to 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students at our Princeton Junction, New Jersey location. This program offers engaging activities within Oak Crest’s facilities, as well as exciting day and overnight trips. 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders follow a different schedule, with camp days on Tuesdays and Thursdays and travel days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Additionally, teens have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips.
Located in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, our Camp for teens follows a well-organized group schedule. Under the supervision of thoroughly vetted counselors, campers move through activities in groups of 10-15. The daily schedule encompasses two free swim periods, engaging experiences like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses, a variety of athletic and creative pursuits, and two Choice periods. During these Choice periods, teens have the freedom to select their preferred activities, offering them the opportunity to explore a diverse range of options by choosing different activities during each Choice period.
At our Princeton Junction, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is of paramount importance, especially when they are off-site. Teen Travel campers strictly adhere to Oak Crest’s Travel Protocols for Safety. Parents and campers alike are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract. Similar to other divisions within the camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are overseen by an adult Division Head. These Division Heads are responsible for the well-being of their respective divisions during camp activities and accompany them on both day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergo specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges that come with early adolescence.
