Teen Travel (7th, 8th & 9th Graders) Summer Camp near Woodbridge
At Oak Crest in Woodbridge, New Jersey, our Teen Travel Program is designed for 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Within this program, teens have the opportunity to engage in a variety of on-site Oak Crest activities while also embarking on day and overnight trips. Specifically, 7th graders attend camp on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reserving Tuesdays and Thursdays for day trips. On the other hand, 8th and 9th graders participate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with travel days scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Furthermore, teenagers have the option to choose between 2- or 3-day overnight trips as part of their experience.
At our Woodbridge, New Jersey location, the Teen Camp operates on a well-organized group schedule. Campers, typically in groups of 10-15, are under the supervision of thoroughly screened counselors. This structured itinerary encompasses two designated free swim periods, along with engaging activities like the Climbing Tower and Ropes Courses. Teens also have access to a wide variety of athletic and creative pursuits. Moreover, the schedule incorporates two Choice periods, providing campers with the flexibility to select activities based on their preferences. This unique feature allows them to explore a diverse range of activities, with the option to choose different activities during each Choice period.
At our Woodbridge, New Jersey location, the safety of our teens is of paramount importance, especially when they are off the camp premises. We have established rigorous Oak Crest Travel Protocols to ensure their well-being. All Teen Travel campers, along with their parents, are required to sign our Teen Travel Behavior Contract, committing to adhere to safety guidelines.
Similar to other divisions within our camp, both the 7th Grade Teen Travel and the 8th & 9th Grade Teen Travel Programs are closely supervised. Each division has an adult Division Head responsible for overseeing activities both on-site and during day and overnight trips. Our dedicated Teen Staff undergoes specialized training to effectively supervise campers in public spaces and handle the unique challenges associated with early adolescence, ensuring a secure and enriching experience for all our campers.
